Generations
The first generation of mobiprint produced manually-updated applications for mobile handsets; it was the only way to deliver a decent user experience:
Second generation mobiprint introduced automated content insertion and update mechanisms and integrated advertising [single campaigns]; end results was still an application, J2ME and S60.
Third generation mobiprint combined automated content update mechanisms with an output as both browsable services as well as applications.
Fourth generation mobiprint — the current production version — introduced the automated inclusion of nested mobile advertising from outside sources into the services provided to end users in different output formats. Where does mobiprint go next?
